D&D Stat Roller: 4d6 Drop Lowest

Roll your character's ability scores the classic way: four six-sided dice, drop the lowest, add up the rest. RollFate rolls them in 3D, shows you which die was dropped, and lets your whole table watch it happen. Free, with no download and no account.

How to roll ability scores

  1. Open RollFate and click the Ability Score quick roll. It's set up as 4d6kh3: roll four d6, keep the highest three.
  2. The four dice land. The result shows each die, with the dropped one crossed out, and the total of the other three.
  3. Roll it five more times, once for each of Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma. Your roll history keeps all six so you can assign them.

Roll your stats where the party can see

A stat roll nobody saw is a stat roll somebody doubts. Make a room for session zero, share the code, and everyone watches each character's scores land live. At the end, anyone can export the party's roll log, so the numbers are on record.

Other ways to roll stats

Every table has its own method. Type any of these into the notation box, or save them as a quick roll:

Prefer a standard array or point buy? You won't need dice for your scores, but you'll want them for your first d20 roll.
