A Dice Roller for DMs: Secret Rolls & Initiative
Running a game online? RollFate gives your table one shared set of 3D dice, plus the tools a DM actually needs: rolls behind the screen, an initiative tracker everyone can see, and control over who rolls when. Free, with no download and no account for you or your players.
Set up your table in a minute
- Open RollFate, open Party and create a room. You get a six-character room code.
- Share the code or the link with your players. They join from any browser, on desktop or phone.
- Check Join as DM for yourself. Players can ask to be DM too, and the host decides.
Secret rolls, revealed when you choose
Turn on Secret before you roll and the result stays behind your screen. Players only see that you made a secret roll. Only you, the host and other DMs see the number. When the moment comes, reveal it to one player or to the whole party.
A shared initiative tracker
When combat starts, everyone rolls initiative. Any roll labelled "initiative", including the Initiative quick roll, joins a shared turn order, highest first. As DM you add your NPCs and monsters, press Next turn to move things along, and the round counter keeps track. Everyone sees whose turn it is and who's up next.
Keep the table under control
- Room password: only the people you invite can join.
- Host-only rolling: lock rolling to yourself when you need the table's attention.
- Each player's own colors: no mixing up whose dice are whose.
- Party roll log: export the whole session's rolls as a text file for your notes.
Fits next to the call you already use
RollFate isn't a virtual tabletop, and doesn't try to be. There are no maps or character sheets to set up. Keep your Discord, Zoom or video call, open RollFate in a tab, and roll together. It works for D&D, Daggerheart, Pathfinder and any game that uses polyhedral dice.
