About RollFate
RollFate is a free online 3D dice roller for tabletop roleplaying games: Dungeons & Dragons, Daggerheart, Pathfinder and anything else that uses polyhedral dice. The dice tumble, bounce and settle with real physics, right in your browser.
Roll together with your party
Create a room and you get a six-character room code. Share the code or the link, and everyone in the room sees every roll land at the same moment. It's made for groups playing over Discord, Zoom or any other voice or video call who want shared dice without setting up a full virtual tabletop.
- Each player rolls in their own dice colors, so you can tell whose roll is whose.
- The host can set a room password or let only themselves roll.
- Players can react to each other's rolls, and anyone can export the party's roll log at the end of the session.
Tools for the Dungeon Master
- Secret rolls: the DM rolls behind the screen. Only the DM sees the result, and can reveal it to one player or the whole party later.
- Initiative tracker: rolls labelled "initiative" build a shared turn order. The DM adds NPCs and moves the turn along.
Every die, and real dice notation
Roll d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100 (percentile) in any combination. Click the dice, or type standard notation:
2d6+3: dice plus a modifier4d6kh3: keep the highest three, for rolling ability scores2d20kh1and2d20kl1: advantage and disadvantage, also one click with the ADV and DIS buttons2d6*2or1d8/2: simple math on the total
Not sure of the notation? The Roll Builder lets you click a formula together instead. For Daggerheart, a 2d12 roll can become your Hope and Fear duality dice.
Make it yours
- Pick a dice set and one of 20 colorsets (Fire, Ice, Necrotic, Poison and more), or your own colors.
- Save the rolls you make all the time as macros or quick rolls, like "Sneak Attack: 3d6".
- Character profiles keep a name, class and modifier that apply automatically.
- Roll history shows each die, highlights crits and fumbles, and has a reroll button. Session stats track your natural 20s, natural 1s, d20 average and how each die is landing.
What RollFate is not
RollFate is a dice roller, not a full virtual tabletop: there are no maps, tokens or character sheets. It needs no account. You play anonymously, and an optional Google sign-in only keeps things you get on RollFate, like dice sets, across your devices.
Free, in your language
Everything you need to roll, alone or with friends, is free, with no ads. Some extra dice sets can be bought. They only change how your dice look, never how they roll. RollFate works on desktop and phone browsers, and is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Polish, Ukrainian and Russian. It follows your device's language, and Settings → Language switches it.
